Chris Meverden, the owner of “vom Brickhaus” competed in February at the USCA(United Schutzhund Clubs of America) Southeast Regional Championship and placed 3rd. This competition brings all the best German Shepherds from the southeast region to compete for the regional championship and to qualify for the National Championship held in November. Out of more than 30 dogs entered Chris and his German Shepherd Judge vom Brickhaus took 3rd place. He was also awarded with the highest placing BHOT dog. BHOT is an acronym for a dog who was bred, handled, owned and trained by the same person. Judge vom Brickhaus was a puppy from the “vom Brickhaus” breeding program. His sire was Chris’ previous competition dog Danger von Juliet. Danger won multiple national championships and made multiple international appearances placing as high as 8th in the world.
Schutzhund also known as IGP is the testing ground for the dogs used in the “vom Brickhaus“ breeding stock. By training and testing our dogs in IGP, it helps ensures that we have done everything possible to produce puppies with good temperaments and health. Our breeding program has produced two puppies now that have made it to the national Championship. F’Mako vom Brickhaus 5th place 2019 and Judge von Brickhaus National Champion 2024. Producing strong puppies is the goal of our Breeding program.
